Hopeful is Spring

With the trees bursting with whites, pinks, and greens, and the first purple iris opening their eyes, spring is bringing much needed hope with it’s gallant colors!  And the Great Lakes Shamanic Community is offerings are swelling as we move through May into early June.

May 24th and May 25th we will gather on ceremonial land to do the work needed to prepare the space for our Vision Quests and the the 38th Annual Eagle Dance ceremonies later in August.  Work days are always full of comradery and culminate with sharing food together.  Lodging is also available if you want to come and play with us both days.  Details are in the calendar links or just RSVP now to Sharon Lifts the Veil.

The strawberry full moon on June 11 was named by the Algonquin tribe’s tradition of harvesting the first strawberries at this time.  In this theme, the Community Purification Lodge at Whispering Winds on June 7 will focus on HOPE.  Be sure to RSVP soon to Maryanne Rainbow Mirror.

Study groups Heart of the Warrior and Earth Walkers are continuing to meet monthly, and the Drum Team is gearing up for Eagle Dance.  See the Upcoming Events for more details.

We look forward to the pleasure of your company!
